Concept, Design, Development & Realisation: DAFTAR

Two stainless steel bodies, built around a pair of vintage hand-knotted cushions with a personal history — once firm nomadic furniture, here treated as objects with their own logic.

Stainless steel bodies that respond directly to the cushions' proportions. Every curve and inward-bending line follows the textile's weight and volume. One cushion acts as a seat, the other as a backrest. The structure does not seek to dominate the textile, but to hold and value its qualities. The two pieces stand together as a seating group, or independently.

(2) BALISHT 02 - Backrest: w 110 x d 45 x h 20 cm

 

Materials: wool cushions, stainless steel.
